What Information We Collect and How We Use That Information: Our registration forms require users to give us contact information that may include name, email address, format preference (HTML vs. Text), address, interests, and similar information. We do not request or store sensitive information from our visitors, such as credit card or social security numbers. Our online surveys may ask visitors for contact and demographic information, as well as issue and web content interests. All of this information is collected on a voluntary basis. We use contact data from our surveys to send the user information about the campaign. The user's contact information is also used to contact the visitor when necessary. Users may always opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the opt-out section below. We use this aggregate data to understand our web audience's overall demographics and tailor our content, communications and programs accordingly.

Opt-Out: Our site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us at any point and time. All emails from our campaign include an "unsubscribe" link. Users can opt-out from campaign communications by emailing info@VotePierce.com.

Correct/Update: All registered users of our site can correct or update their contact information and user profile at any time. Contact and profile information generally includes name, address, phone number(s), email, issue interests and web content preferences.

Internet Protocol Address: We collect an IP address from all visitors to our Site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our Site, analyze trends, track users' movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the site, and deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

They receive the credit card number and other personal information of our donor/users only to verify credit card numbers and to process credit card transactions in a secure environment. The Pierce for Mayor committee does not store credit card or bank account information.

Sharing of Information: All functions for which Pierce for Mayor uses your contact information are clearly spelled out. We do not share your personal information with any third party. It is our policy not to sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone. We do not share your information with telemarketing or direct mail vendors-except in exclusive cases where communications from such vendors are paid for by the Pierce for Mayor campaign and are for the purpose of voter education, fundraising, and get-out-the-vote efforts.
